Jamshedpur: The state’s largest textile mill Orient Craft has been locked. Five thousand young men and women of the state have become unemployed due to the lock in both the units of Ranchi based company. The BJP has expressed concern over the closure of Orient Craft, a twenty four hundred crore investment in the state. On Wednesday, BJP Jamshedpur President Gunjan Yadav issued a press release describing it as a failure of the government.
He said that the BJP government led by former Raghubar Das had attracted investors in the state by creating a better environment. Increased confidence in investors and better textile policy led to the establishment of textile companies in the state, which provided employment to young men and women. But the dissolution of such big companies in just 8 months after the formation of new government is worrying for the state. Many other textile mill companies are also preparing to leave the state.
Former Chief Minister had a clear view that textile sector has the maximum employment. While working on this, he got industries of other well-known companies including Arvind Mills, Orient Craft, Kishore Exports in Jharkhand. While the state was once identified as scam Jharkhand, the skill was identified as Jharkhand during the Raghubar government.
