Unemployment card demanded

Jamshedpur, Dec 4: An organization, ‘My Country is My Family’ has, in a letter addressed to the Jharkhand Chief Minister has demanded Unemployment cards for youth unable to find work or those who had lost their jobs due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic conditions. The letter was handed to the Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar for onward submission to the Chief Minister.

The letter demanded that Unemployment cards be issued to such youth who had been rendered jobless and loans ranging between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh be made available to them for starting business and become self dependent. The letter also demanded that Rs 5,000 per month be paid to the Unemployed card holders every month till they are able to generate self employment. In addition, the organization demanded of the state government all benefits that were being provided to the BPL community.

President of the organization, Md Shamim stated that if the state government took heed of the demands, then Jharkhand would become the perfect example for launching the scheme and other state governments would follow suit that would ultimately turn out to be a boon for unemployed youth.
