Jamshedpur, Dec 4: The Jamshedpur unit of the Purv Sainik Seva Parishad (PSSP) on Friday observed Indian Navy Day at a function organized at Shahid Sthal in Golmuri. The programme was inaugurated by Sergeant Tapas Kumar Majumdar by lighting the traditional lamp and paying floral tribute to the martyrs at Shahid Sthal. All COVID-19 protocols were observed on the occasion. The special guest on the occasion was former Navy officer and founder member of PSSP Vimal Kumar Ojha while addressing the gathering observed, “December 4 is the proudest day for Indian Navy. This day is observed by the entire defense forces as a tribute to The Indian Navy’s efficiency, coordination and gallantry. The famous victory of Ghazi is a hallmark of the Indian Navy on that date.”
The PSSP members distributed sweets to celebrate the victory. The chief guest on the occasion was the district secretary of Krida Bharati, Chandrashekhar. The proceedings were anchored by Anil Kumar Sinha while the vote of thanks was offered by Kundan Singh.
