Unemployed youth commits suicide at Ghaghidih

Jamshedpur : A 25-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his residential apartment in Jag’s Vaishnavi Complex at Ghaghidih under Parsudih police station area. The deceased, Ashish Ram Teke, was facing unemployment problem for which he had been struggling hard for the past few months. The suicide has taken place on the fourth floor of the Vaishnavi Apartment, located close to the Ghaghidih Central Jail in Ghaghidih.

The neighbour had in his turn informed the Parsudih police station, leading a team of police officials led by officer-in-charge Dayanand Kumar to arrive at the spot.

According to relatives, by the time the police recovered the body of Ashish, Radhey Shyam Tete, father of the deceased youth had arrived from his duty on getting the information of his son’s suicidal death.

Officer-in-charge, Parsudih police station, Dayanand said this to be a case of suicide. He pointed out there was no suicidal note or any other clue to the circumstances that led the youth to commit suicide.

Dayanand, when asked, said that the family members were grief-stricken and therefore they did not ask too many question about the reason behind the suicide.

The police have recovered the body and sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem having registered a case of suicide.
