Jamshedpur : In a shocking incident a 19-year-old youth was killed by his own uncle at Olidih in Mango today.
The victim Abhishek Barua was sleeping at the verandah of his house at Olidih, when his maternal uncle Tipu Pingua picked up a boulder and hit on the youth’s head and he died on the spot.
The victim used to work at a private firm at Mango.
Officer-in-charge, Olidih Thana Out-post, Sushma Kumari said that Pingua resided at the same locality where his nephew stayed.
As per our information last night there was a fight between the uncle and the nephew, leading the latter to assault the former.
In the night the victim was sleeping at the verandah of the house as usually. Pingua, who has a record of murdering his own wife 10 years ago, picked up a boulder and murdered the nephew,” said the officer-in-charge.
The body has been sent to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem.
