Jamshedpur, October 13: Uranium Corporation of India (UCIL) organized a function on the 50th year since its foundation back in 1967, at Narwapahar auditorium on Thursday.
Newly appointed CMD of UCIL, Dr. CK Asnani encouraged the officers of the corporation for reaching new heights and also gave tips for economic development.
Dr. Asnani speech mainly focused on improving the production capacity of uranium where he asked the officers to give their suggestion on the improvement of productivity.
Not talking much about the history of UCIL, CMD was more into talking about the future projects and plans so that UCIL can walk on the paths of development and debt free business.
Dr. Asnani accepted that despite loans from banks the financial situation of the corporation was better in 2015-16 and pledged to improve the condition for better in the coming years.
On the occasion Dr. CK Asnani also released a logo of UCIL. At the event general manager AK Sarangi, Director (Finance) Devashish Ghosh, SC Bhowmik, PK Dhar also addressed the gathering.
UCIL general manager Ajay Dhade extended the vote of thanks. Also present were SK Guhaniyogi, Uday Kumar, Ravindra Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Dr. UK Majhi along with senior officers.
Uranium Corporation of India (UCIL), a centrally owned Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), under the Department of Atomic Energy for uranium mining and uranium processing.
The corporation was founded in 1967 and is responsible for the mining and milling of uranium ore in India. The firm operates mines at Jaduguda, Bhatin, Narwapahar, Turamdih and Banduhurang.. UCIL will celebrate golden jubilee in 2017.
