Jamshedpur, June 26: Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) workers are eagerly awaiting the meeting going to be convened on 1st July by the PSU management to discuss their various demands.
Sources said the UCIL workers are mainly eyeing the meeting to know whether their demand for wage revision agreement and increment in mining and quarter allowance are fulfilled as per their expectations or not.
Union leaders said a proposal has been handed to the company management on behalf of the workers who had called strike from 10th June to 14th June last in favour of their demands.
The workers have demanded 15 per cent hike in mining allowance and 10 per cent hike in quarter allowance. They have also demanded several other benefits which include various allowances and facilities.
