Jamshedpur, September 9: Uranium Corporation of India Ltd (UCIL) Turamdih Uranium project management in order to provide indirect employment to nearby villagers has started to promote fishery.
UCIL have released 4000 fishes in a pond at Nandoop Village under Sundernagar Police station area. The pond has also been constructed by UCIL management.
A villager MP Diggi said, with fisheries more than Rs 50000 can be earned in a year and would make jobless people employed. The money would also help in the development of the village.
At the event UCIL officer N Patil said that with fishery two things would happen first it would help keep the pond clean and it would help in generating employment.
On the occasion N Patil, Girish Gupta, Arun Nayak along with villagers MP Diggi, Madhu Guiya, Gunaram Diggi, Uday Kunkal etc were present.
