Jadugora: Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) management organized an awareness workshop to promote cashless transactions in the company and its surrounding rural areas here on Friday.
The company authorities appealed to the residents of Narwa Pahar area to avail cashless transaction facilities so that they could join the nation in the mission to go cashless.
The workshop was organized at MTC, Narwa Pahar. Officials of State Bank of India and Central Board of Workers� Education addressed the villagers on the benefits and methods of cashless transactions. The villagers were trained to use Point of Sale (PoS) machines to make retail transactions.
Among others present during the workshop included the branch manager of SBI Narwa Pahar branch Abhay Kumar Burma, chief manager of SBI, Jamshedpur, Kumod Jha, additional manager of UCIL PK Nayak, Central Board of Workers� Education officer Sanjay Kumar, Anupam Ghosh of SBI Mutual Fund, Jamshedpur, DN Singh, Gajiyan Hansda and Mukesh Kumar.
