UCIL Dam Jadugora water level rises, one gate opened

Jamshedpur, July 31: The water level of the UCIL Dam has risen significantly due to continuous rain in Jadugora and surrounding areas. In view of the rising water level, one gate of the Company Dam was opened late in the evening to ensure the dam’s safety.

The released water flows into lower areas and eventually flows into the river, potentially increasing the river’s water level as well. Fishermen were bracing up for hauling in fish that usually get trapped between rocks after the river water level recedes. The influx of fish under such conditions is high.
