Jadugoda, Oct 19: The ground breaking ceremony was performed for the Kali Puja celebrations by the A Type Kali Puja Committee and preparations for the occasion commenced thereafter. Committee Patron Tikki Mukhi informed that the pandal would be inaugurated on Oct 27 and the immersion of Goddess Kali�s idol would take place on October 29.
The worship of the Goddess is done with traditional rituals and three experienced priests from Bengal have been invited for the purpose. There are 10 Maha Vidhis of worshipping the Goddess and one such is the Shashan (crematorium ground) Durga which will be performed by the A Type Kali Puja Committee. An old hand in the art, idol maker Pradip Das is making the idol of the Goddess while experts from Jadugoda will be handling the pandal construction and decoration work.
A Mina Bazaar and shops dealing in various items are coming up around the Puja Ground for the attraction and entertainment of visitors. The Kali Puja Committee comprises Tikki Mukhi, Rakesh Sharma, Rohit Singh, Ajay Mukhi, Kamal Madani and Sangram Singh.
