Abu Dhabi (IANS): The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi warned on Sunday that UAE authorities will take strict action against anyone filming incident sites, prohibited areas, or airport interiors without authorization.
To ensure personal safety and avoid legal trouble, the Embassy advises all Indian nationals to follow these specific guidelines:
Safety & Documentation Protocols
- Seek Shelter: When you hear a warning alert, proceed immediately to a safe place. Remain there until authorities lift the alert.
- Stop Filming: Do not go outside to take photographs or record videos of active incidents.
- Digital Privacy: Strictly avoid sharing or publishing images of damage, projectiles, or shrapnel on social media or digital platforms.
- Airport Security: Do not take photos or record videos inside the airport during arrival or departure.
Handling Suspicious Objects
If you discover shrapnel or suspicious objects:
- Report it immediately to the competent authorities.
- Stay away from the location.
- Do not touch or approach any parts.
Current Regional Situation
The UAE Ministry of Defence confirmed on Sunday that air defense systems are currently intercepting missile and drone threats. The Ministry explained on X (formerly Twitter) that the loud sounds heard in various areas result from these active interceptions.
Authorities urge the public to remain in safe locations and monitor official channels for real-time updates.
