Jamshedpur, April 6: In JSCA Inter district elite group match played at Birsa MundaCricket Stadium East Singhbhum team beat Seraikela-Kharsawan by 219 runs and with this win they made it to the semi finals with 8 points from two wins.
After winning the toss Seraikela-Kharsawan elected to field first, batting first East Singhbhum scored a mammoth 317/9 in 40 overs with the help of Piyush Prajapati who scored 108 runs, Vishwajit Singh made 84 runs, Golden Vishwas scored 49 runs while Shubham Yadav made important 22 runs.
From Seraikela-Kharsawan Sudip Savan took 3 wickets for 65, Arun Mandal 38/2, Rohit Kumar 42/2 and Naymish Trivedi took 1 wicket by giving away 85 runs.
Chasing 318 to win Seraikela-Kharsawan batsman from the very starting were struggling and were bundled out for 98 runs in 27.3 overs where Arun Mandal scored 30 while Sanjay Kumar Mahato scored 22.
East Singhbhum bowlers Mahesh Kudada, Devashish Giri and Madan Bodra took 3 wickets each while Anmol Choubey took 1 wicket. Piyush Prajapati of East Singhbhum was awarded man of the match, the award was given away by JSCA umpire Ajit Kumar Singh.
