Jamshedpur, May 7: In the JSCA U-16 elite group match played Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium Bokaro crushed Latehar by 8 wickets to make a place in the semis of the tournament.
After winning the toss captain of Latehar decided to bat first but the team only managed to score 68 in 24.4 overs where Shahsi Kumar scored 18 runs, Samresh Badal scored 18 runs while Saurabh Sharma scored 17 runs.
Apurva Anand of Bokaro ran through the top order taking 5 wickets for 7 runs, Aditya Singh took 2 wickets while Amit Kumar Kushwaha took 1 wicket.
Chasing 69 to win Bokaro batsman overhalled the target in 12 overs loosing 2 wickets. Subham from Bokaro scored 35 runs, Vishal Kumar scored 18 while Suman Shekhar scored 10 runs.
Pappu Yadav of Latehar took a wicket, Apurva Yadav of Bakaro was awarded the man of the match for his all round performance. The award was given by JSCA Umpire Abhishek Kumar.
