Jamshedpur, Dec. 14: Forest Department has seized two trucks carrying wooden rolls from Chandrakona Road in West Bengal to Jharsuguda Belpahar of Odisha on National Highway No. 18 near Darisol Check Naka of Barsol police station area under Bahragora block of East Singhbhum district.
An FIR has been lodged against the truck owner on behalf of the Baharagora Forest Department on both the trucks on the allegation of mismatched wood in the truck and found more wood than the wood mentioned in the permit. In this regard, it is said that on December 10, 2021, at 10.30 am, two trucks carrying wooden rolls were going from Chandrakona Road to Jharsuguda Belpahar in Odisha.
During this, both the trucks went to seal the forest check block, then the forest department employees stopped the vehicle and brought it to the Bahragora forest rest house to investigate. In this regard, both the driver Trilochan Singh and Khalasi Ravi Pal said that they did not know that the wood permit and mismatch were loaded.
