Jamshedpur: Two pilots went missing after their training plane crashed in Dalma Hills near Jamshedpur in the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Tuesday.
East Singhbhum Superintendent of Police (SP) City Rishab Garg confirmed that a plane that took off from Jamshedpur Aerodrome went missing.
“Search operations are underway to recover the plane and its pilots,” the city SP said.
According to reports, the plane took off from Jamshedpur Aerodrome in the early hours of Tuesday and went off the radar after a few minutes.
Reliable sources from the aerodrome stated that the aircraft was a two-seater training plane owned by Alchemist Aviation.
“Our team is out searching for the plane,” said Mrinal Paul, Managing Director of Alchemist Aviation.
He declined to provide any details about the type of plane or the names of the pilots on board.
