Jamshedpur, April 28 : In separate road mishaps, two persons were killed and one injured at Marine Drive and Nildih Chowk under Bistupur police station area and Golmuri police station area respectively this morning.
A 15-year-old boy was runover by a trailer at Nildih Chowk, a 50-year-old man was killed on the spot as the cycle he was riding was hit by a unknown vehicle.
The boy who was killed on the marine drive was identified as Akaash Ponko, a resident of Beldih Gram along the Marine Drive.
According to police, both Akaash and another youth, Rinku Kumar (20) were sleeping along the marine drive in the night, but early in the morning a trailer which was coming from Mango end ran over them.
“The trailer was coming from the Mango end toward Adityapur, when the driver ran over the two, causing the duo under the wheels of the heavy vehicle. The other youth identified as Rinku was seriousy injured. We have rushed the injured to Tata Main Hospital where he is struggling for his life.”
OC, Bistupur, Rajesh Prakash Sinha confirmed about the mishap taken place on the marine drive under Bistupur thana area early this morning.
The another mishap took place at Nildih Chowk on Sakchi-Telco Road under Golmuri. The OC, Golmuri thana said from the kind of injury sustained by the victim, it appeared that it must be a truck or tailer, The police have sent both the bodies to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem.
