Jamshedpur, April 28: Candidates in fray for elections are putting their best effort to woo voters. With few days left for the polling, the contestants in fray have stepped up their campaign, knowing that it would be a tough contest. While BJP flagged off the campaign vans, JMM candidate Champai Soren is connecting with voters.

JMM candidate Champai Soren said :I have full faith on the voters of Jamshedpur. They will be electing their representative on the basis of performance of candidates and not on the basis of election campaign and publicity. I openly ask the voters to judge my tenure as the MLA and then decide to vote. The people are only going to cast their vote on the basis of performance of the candidates. I am here seeking votes of the people for the work that I have done so far. During my tenure as MLA I have toured every nook and corner of my constituency and understand issues concerning the people.
Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency comprises the following six Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) segments Baharagora Ghatshila, Potka, Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East and Jamshedpur West.
Apart from with the high profile visits scheduled latter and rallies of the leaders of major political parties, candidates are working hard to cover the entire constituency with padh yatra. They have turned their attention to micro-level problems and demands during the street-by-street campaign.
BJP candidate and Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto, is visiting places in rural belt interacting with the voters. He assured them that if he voted he will focus on construction roads, bridges and ensure proper drinking water and power in his area. I have promised better civic services for the residents of non-company area. Better traffic and basic infrastructure is all I promise, says Mahto.
Political parties and the candidates are equally focusing on public meetings and roadside campaigns through vehicles.
I am the son of the soil and have been a part of the movement for separate state Jharkhand. I understand the pulse of the people of the region. I have been active activist and have been crusading for the rights of the people. People living in the rural areas have been denied benefits of several Government welfare schemes, I want to be their voice and ensure that they reap the benefits of different projects. I am also concerned about migration of labourers from our region to different states. This is a vital issue that needs to addressed, said Surya Singh Besra, a candidate from Jharkhand Peoples Party.
