Two member team starts probe into lynching incidents

Jamshedpur, May 24: The two-member team constituted by the state government to probe into Rajnagar (in Seraikela-Kharsawan) and Bagbera lynching incident and mob frenzy at Mango, started probe from today.

The committee headed by Kolhan commissioner Pradeep Kumar (1991 cadre IAS) and DIG Kolhan Prabhat Kumar (2004 IPS) begun their probe from today evening with talks with senior bureaucrats and police officials of East Singhbhum.

“We have been asked by the state government to submit a report into the reasons behind the lynching incidents at Rajnagar and Bagbera and the subsequent mob frenzy at Mango.

We will be submitting the report in 10 days after delving into all aspects into the incidents. We might visit place of occurrence at Bagbera and Mango in East Singhbhum and Rajnagar too,” said Pradeep Kumar.

The senior bureaucrat also said that administrative lapses would also form part of the probe.
