Two jailed for night guard murder in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 28: The Sidgora police arrested Anwar Hussain and Trilok Thakur in connection with the murder of night guard Azam Khan who was on duty on the night of Monday, March 23 at the construction site of Women�s University building behind the Sidgora Surya Mandir. Both have been sent to jail.

According to information, Anwar Hussain confessed to having killed Azam Khan by hitting him with a road. The other night guard on duty on March 23, Trilok Thakur was his accomplice. In his confession statement, Anwar Hussain said that he was posted as guard at the University building construction site. He used to take bribe from truckers who used to bring in construction material to the site. Azam Khan reported the matter to the contractor. The other complaint against him was that he used to misbehave with women labourers. The contractor, on receiving the complaints from Azam, removed Anwar from his duty. Anwar, with the assistance of Trilok attacked Azam Khan with an iron rod with the help of the other night guard Trilok Thakur on the night of March 23. Azam Khan was a resident of Jharsuguda in Odisha. Anwar Hussain is a resident of Bhalubasa under Sitaramdera police station.
