Two fall sick after consuming Hadiya

Chaibasa, March 3: Two persons fell sick after reportedly consuming Hadiya (rice beer) in Manoharpur (West Singhbhum) on Friday. One of them, identified as Rajkumar Kumhar, was admitted to Manoharpur Hospital in an unconscious state. He was referred to Rourkela Hospital for better treatment after preliminary treatment. Sources said Rajkumar and his friend Abhijit Kumhar were on their way to Abhaypur to meet their niece in Abhaypur. On their way, they stopped at Bhalulata Weekly Haat and consumed Hadiya. After drinking Hadiya, they left for Abhaypur. Abhijit was driving the bike. Near Mohipani School, Abhijit started vomiting. Just before reaching Abhaypur, Rajkumar too, fell sick and vomited blood. His condition worsened and he had to be hospitalized, sources said.
