Jamshedpur: The Adityapur area remains a hotbed of brown sugar narcotics. On Monday, Adityapur Police succeeded in nabbing the sellers of brown sugar. The police arrested 40-year-old Imtiaz Khan, a resident of H Road Muslim Basti of Adityapur and 27-year-old Jahangir Alam, who lived in front of the Imambara of the same settlement, along with 540 pudding brown sugar, weighing 56.03 grams, being taken for sale. They have been sent to jail.
In this regard, Seraikela Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash said that the police officers and policemen of Adityapur police station were going towards the Muslim settlement in the morning patrol. Suddenly two persons who were seen in suspicious condition were asked by the patrol police to stop, both of them started running after seeing the police. They were nabbed by the police after being chased. The arrested Imtiaz Khan and Jahangir Alam said that both had come to sell brown sugar. And after seeing the police, in order to escape, they threw brown sugar on the way. On the behest of both the accused arrested, 540 packs of brown sugar weighing 56.03 grams, tied in black plastic, were recovered by the police. In the raiding team, Sub Inspector of Police Bhimlal Paswan, Deputy Inspector of Police Chittaranjan Kumar, Sub Inspector of Police Barkha Kumari, Sub Inspector of Police Sagarlal Mahatha, Sub Inspector of Police Suman Saurabh, Sub Inspector of Police Chandan Kumar, constables Kadir Hussain and Jitendra Kumar Paswan was involved.
