Saraikela, Sept 23: The police have arrested two accused Videshi Mahto and Sanjay Mahto residents of Pahaddhad and Raidih respectively under Chowka police station. They have been arrested in connection with the murder of Raj Mohan Mahto alias Raju Mahto outside Huding Hotel on Chowka-Kandra Road on September 20. The information of arrest was given at a press meeting that was addressed by SP Md Arshi, SDPO Rakesh Ranjan and Chandil SDPO Dhirendra Banka.
It was informed in the meeting that arrested Videshi Mahto and deceased Raj Mohan Mahto alias Raju Mahto were partners in labour supply business. They informed that 20 days prior to the murder, Videshi Mahto had some disagreement with Raju Mahto over money matters and labour supply at Narsingh Ispat Private Limited. After the dispute, Videshi Mahto hatched a plan with his cousin Sanjay Mahto to eliminate Raju Mahto. Both Sanjay Mahto and Videshi Mahto contacted shooters who agreed to kill Raj Mohan Mahto alias Raju Mahto for an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh. An advance of Rs 15,000 was paid to them. SP Md Arshi said that the shooters had been identified and would be arrested shortly.
