Two arrested in Jamshedpur Firing Case

Jamshedpur, Mar 11: The Jamshedpur police have apprehended two individuals, including the main accused, in connection with the recent firing incident near Fatmi Masjid under Azadnagar police station in Mango. The arrested suspects are identified as Syed Amanullah alias Saip alias Aman and Shahnawaz. The police have successfully recovered the weapon used in the incident based on information provided by the accused.

City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat disclosed the details of the case, stating that the firing on Mohammad Shahid was a result of a personal dispute. Aman and Shahnawaz, both friends, were involved in the altercation. Aman, employed as a contractor, and Shahid, working as an electrician, had a disagreement on March 9 when Shahid brought a friend to work. The disagreement escalated, leading to an argument between Shahnawaz and Shahid.

The situation took a violent turn when Aman arrived later in the evening armed with a weapon, causing fear and tension. In the ensuing confrontation, a gunshot was fired, striking Shahid in the head. City SP Lunayat revealed that Aman had possessed the weapon since 2021, having purchased it in Gorakhpur.
