Jamshedpur, Mar 2: Bistupur police have managed to arrest Pawan Kumar Yadav and a woman from Kodha Jurabganj area in Katihar district of Bihar who were involved in the loot of Rs 6 lakh from a couple of Kadma near Union Bank at Bistupur on February 23.
Police have also managed to recover the looted amount and the two bikes used in the crime based on the confession of the culprits. This was informed by city SP Subhas Chandra Jatt.
According to city SP, a team was constituted under DSP CCR and the manner in which the loot happened police were confident that it was the Koda gang from Katihar in Bihar which was involved. The gang had committed such acts in the city earlier too. With the CCTV footages which had captured the movement of the gang and the police managed to trace the culprits who had committed the crime after careful reccee of the bank. The woman caught was the one who had conducted recee of the couple Nirmal Kumar Dey and wife Ruma Dey at the Bank of Baroda from where they had withdrawn Rs 6 lakh and kept it in a bag and had informed Pawan Kumar Yadav.
