Jamshedpur: The Tata Steel UISL inaugurated an Automated Water Supply System at the Kadma Water Tower on Sunday to modernize urban water management.
Leadership Marks Technological Milestone
Pranay Sinha, Chief Corporate Services at Tata Steel (TSL), inaugurated the system alongside several key leaders, including Mr. Atul Bhatnagar, Managing Director of TSUISL, and Mr. Raghunath Pandey, President of the Tata Steel Utilities Shramik Union. Mr. Varun Bajaj, Chief CS (Designate) at TSJ, and Sanjeev Jha, GM of Water and Wastewater Services, also attended the ceremony with their specialized teams.

Smart Distribution for 18,500 Residents
The Kadma Water Tower currently serves approximately 18,500 connections across various neighborhoods through 34 distribution valves. The new automation replaces manual intervention with actuator-operated valves that function on a precise, predefined schedule. This transition ensures a more timely and reliable supply of drinking water for all consumers in the Kadma area.
Expanding the Smart Water Network
With this latest launch, TSUISL has successfully automated three major water towers to date: Central, Sonari, and Kadma. This initiative represents a significant step forward in smart water management, focusing on improved service reliability and a better customer experience for local residents.
