TSFIF launches awareness drive on World Population Day

Jamshedpur, July 11: Tata Steel Family Initiatives Foundation (TSFIF) launched an awareness drive on the occasion of World Population Day to promote small family norms.

During the drive, a team performed street plays to spread awareness about benefits of a small family.

Focusing on different methods of family planning, the street plays will be organised at all the 15 TSFIF’s
maternal and child health clinics across Jamshedpur.

Dr. S. K. Jha, Civil Surgeon, East Singhbhum, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, flagged off the street show during a function organised at the Tata Steel Family Initiatives Foundation (TSFIF), Kadma.

Acknowledging the support provided by the TSFIF on family planning, Dr. Jha emphasised on the importance of family planning interventions to reduce maternal and infant mortality.

Dr P.C. Mohapatra, Head, Family Initiatives & Health, Mr. Subrat Mahapatra, Head (Health), CSR, Dr.Pushpa Tiwari, TSFIF and staff members also attended the programme.
