Jamshedpur : The Tata Steel Adventure Foundation ( TSAF) is gearing up to organise the Outdoor Recreational Programme (ORP) for the participation of the community.
The adventure programme will be held every Saturday and Sunday in December and January. P P Kapadia, a senior functionary, TSAF said that the programme will be conducted at Dimna Lake Island about 15 km away from Jamshedpur.
The sylvan surrounding is sure to uplift the spirits and energise everyone and infuse vigour and vitality in ones lifestyle.
“The living-movinglearning theme will bring the communities closer to one another through a wide range of activities – like Fun Team Games, Yoga, Water Surfing, Rafting Round the Lake, Swimming with Life Jackets and Group Living in Tents.
The activities will be conducted by expert TSAF faculty to make the programme interesting , and enjoyable.
“The thrill of trekking amidst sylvan surroundings is not only a healthy and wholesome experience but energising and rejuvenating as well. The activities as part of the programme will garner team spirit and instill in the participants a feeling of togetherness and optimism.
The expedition designed is to teach the team members the importance of selfmotivation, and other leadership aspects like taking initiatives, taking decisions and working in groups towards a common goal,” said he noted.
This unique programme is organised by Tata Steel Adventure Foundation and it aims to help people understand themselves better. The objective of this trek is to focus on ‘Development’ of the human potential through teamwork.
The activities as part of the programme will garner team spirit and instill in the participants a feeling of togetherness and optimism.
The participants will be exposed to a series of adventurous pursuits and exercises, all designed to facilitate testing, exploration and development of individuals including stimulation of personal risk taking.
Besides, the participants will be made aware of ecology and life in the high altitude settings.
