Jamshedpur, May 12: Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta has said that the government is committed to provide the best treatment facilities to pregnant women. He said that all preparations are being made for the purpose. Banna said, We have asked all to-be mothers to undergo coronavirus tests while there is still time for their expected dates of delivery (EDD). There are 51,935 women who are due for childbirth in May. It is not possible for their corona tests simultaneously within such short notice. As such, we have advised these women to have their coronavirus tests done, and added, The state government has made alternate arrangements also. Since it is not possible to get all the 52 women checked at one go, we are installing Truenet machines at all Sadar Hospitals in the district. These machines will enable checks for coronavirus infections and the results will be available within one hour. The work of installation of the Truenet machines in all Sadar Hospitals will be completed within one week. Technicians to operate these machines have already been trained. The process will make doctors and health workers handling treatment of pregnant women safer and easier.
