Silence is the space where true strength grows: Viral Mazumdar
KPS Kadma hosts 25th Jamshedpur Youth Conference
Jamshedpur, Oct 30: The 25th Jamshedpur Youth Conference, a four-day Let’s Make A Difference (LMAD) workshop, began on Thursday at Kerala Public Schools, with an inspiring address by Viral Mazumdar, Chief Director of LMAD. The event, themed “Silence,” focuses on nurturing self-reflection, moral strength, and personal growth among young participants.
Over 17 schools from across Jamshedpur are taking part in this year’s conference, which aims to help students develop strong values and a sense of purpose in their lives. In his keynote address, Viral Mazumdar, who has over 33 years of experience guiding youth, spoke about the transformative power of silence. He said, “Silence is not emptiness—it is a sacred space where honesty, purity, unselfishness, and love can flourish.”
He encouraged students to cultivate these four pillars of LMAD, explaining that true success depends on inner discipline and focus. “All great personalities achieved success through concentration and discipline,” he added, urging participants to practice mindfulness and self-control in their daily lives.
To promote deeper engagement, students were divided into seven groups — Health, Happiness, Harmony, Awareness, Governance, Discipline, and Nature — each exploring how core values can be lived in everyday life.
The small-group discussions and interactive activities created an atmosphere of calm reflection, where students shared personal experiences and insights. Many expressed that the sessions helped them understand that real strength lies not in external achievements but in leading a life rooted in values and self-awareness.
The conference will continue for four days, fostering introspection and teamwork among Jamshedpur’s young changemakers.
Regional coordinators Rajiv Agarwal and Shraddha Agarwal played a major role in organizing the conference. Apart from this, volunteers like Bhishma Mansukhhani, Vidyashree Singh, Hetal Gori, Neeta Jaiswal, P. Vidya, Ritesh Sakhare, Sai Bhuvan, Sangeeta Sarkar, Satyaprakash Sharma, Sayok Sarkar, Shivraj Nirmal, Somay Pareek, Sujit Rai, Suman Sarkar, Urja Agarwal, Tanishka Gandhi also made significant contributions.
As the first day concluded, the school resonated with a sense of peace and inspiration. Students left with renewed motivation to carry forward the lessons of honesty, purity, unselfishness, and love, laying a strong foundation for the transformative days ahead.
