Jamshedpur, Nov 13: Vehicular movement was hit for nearly 6 hours on Saturday after a rice-laden truck got stuck at the rail gate located at Chakulia under Kharagpur Railway Division of South Eastern Railway. During this, there was a long jam on both sides of the gate, which caused a lot of trouble to the people in the movement. The truck was not stuck in the middle of the railway track, due to which the trains continued to run at a slow speed. However, during this time, the railway administration and railway security personnel had to make a lot of effort at the gate. The work of the third line of the railway in Chakulia is going on in full swing these days. In view of this, work was being done to lay the third line on the rail gate by closing the gate completely from 10 o’clock on Friday night.
When the gate was opened in the morning, the truck number WB 33D/4492 came and got stuck between 7.30 and 8 am. After a lot of effort with the cooperation of the truck owner, railway administration and local people, the truck could be pulled out at around 2 pm. After this, traffic in the city returned to normal.
