Truck hits autorickshaw in Jamshedpur, eight occupants injured

Jamshedpur, Jan 6: A truck, in a bid to overtake another vehicle hit an oncoming autorickshaw near Mukhiyadanga under MGM police station damaging the three-wheeler and injuring the eight occupants traveling in it. The truck driver managed to escape with the vehicle from the spot of accident. Local people informed the police who rushed to the place of accident and sent all the injured for treatment to Tata Main Hospital where the condition of three passengers are stated to be critical. One of the critically wounded has been admitted to the Hospital’s HDU Ward.

The injured include Yadav Lal (40), Umesh Kumar (25), Mahabir (25), Arjun Singh (25), Pinku Srivastav (38), Pramod Soingh (22), Chandrashekhar (44) and another. According to information, all the victims are employees of a brick kiln in Bhilaipahadi and were going in the autorickshaw to report for work.
