Jamshedpur, October 01: Gandhi Jayanti was observed at Srinath University, marking the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri in a very special way. A Collage Making Competition was organized by the Cultural Cell of College Committee headed by Asst Prof Sayanika Mishra. Students of D El Ed and B Ed participated in the competition with their creations reflecting their creative abilities. The judges were Ganesh Mahto and Asst Prof Madhuri Kumari. Anuradha and her group bagged the first prize closely followed by Ganesh and group and Shriti and group who clinched the second and third spots respectively. In order to give a fillip to use of masks and discarding plastic bags, the college students themselves made attractive masks and paper carry bags that were jointly distributed by the Community Cell In-charge Asst Prof Bina Mahto and NSS Cell In-charge Asst Prof Binay Singh Shandilya and student volunteers of the University.
HOD Education, Dr Monika Uppal congratulated students and appreciated their creative abilities. She urged the students to imbibe the philosophies of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri and tread along their footprints.
