Jamshedpur:A commemorative meeting, chaired by BJP Mahanagar President Gunjan Yadav, was organized on Wednesday at the party’s district office in Sakchion the occasion of the fifth death anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Floral tributes were paid in front of a portrait of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Members present pledged to follow his ideals. Former partyState President, Dr Dineshanand Goswami, highlighted Atal Ji’s significant role in shaping India’s position on the global stage. He acknowledged Vajpayee’s efforts in promoting India’s interests on international platforms and strengthening the nation’s reputation. “Atal Ji was a dynamic statesman who established India’s credentials on the global stage. He was not only a towering personality, but he also possessed exceptional oratory skills and was the possessor of multi-faceted talents. Vajpayee Ji was a statesman who was globally recognized and revered.”
Dr Goswami also lauded Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s contributions to establishing India as a prominent global player and reminded of his contributions in declaring India a nuclear power through the Pokhran tests. “Vajpayee Ji’s service to the nation both as an opposition leader and later as the Prime Minister remains a hallmark in the trait of a disciplined and perfect statesman,” remarked Dr Dineshanand Goswami.
Gunjan Yadav stated that personalities like Atal Ji were rarely born. He acknowledged Vajpayee’s tireless efforts in transforming the Bharatiya Jan Sangh into the Bharatiya Janata Party and building it from a small entity to a grand institution. Gunjan further stated, “Atal Ji’s contribution to nation-building can never be forgotten. His role in uniting the nation and his ideals continue to guide the BJP towards progress and development of our nation.”
Yadav mentioned that Jharkhand owed its existence to Vajpayee’s unwavering determination. He recalled, “After years of struggle, Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s resolute intentions led to the creation of the state of Jharkhand. Atal Ji’s life is an inspiration for all party workers and his ideals will continue to guide us in our endeavours.”
During the event Aabha Mahato, Rita Mishra, Bari Murmu, Rajesh Shukla, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Rambabu Tiwari, Binod Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Niraj Singh, Sandeep Sharma Bobby, Tridev Chattoraj, Monty Agrawal and other party activists paid their tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
