Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the government would constitute Development Council to step up development activities in Jharkhand.
The council would comprise representatives from different departments and organizations, corporate houses and public representatives. Block level integrated resource centres would also be set up to provide solutions to people�s problems under one roof, he said.
The CM while addressing Republic Day ceremony at Dumka reiterated government�s priority to make the disadvantaged sections partners in development activities.
After hoisting the tri-color at Dumka Police Line Raghubar Das said that Schedule Tribe Development Council would be constituted soon. The council would consist of high-level government officials, legislators and the intellectuals who would advise on steps to be taken for development tribal dominated areas. He said that under Jharkhand State Road Project- phase two about 100 roads would be widened and renovated.
The Chief Minister further said that under Deen Dayal Awas Yojna total electrification would be carried out in 25 villages and new transformers of 100 MVA capacity would be installed in financial year 2015-16. On the same lines steps would be taken so that the small farmers get electricity for at least six hours a day under Tilka Majhi Pump Yojna.
The CM said that vacant posts of teachers are being filled up while proposals have been sent to the Centre to make Ranchi, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Deoghar, and Dumka �Smart Cities. Recruitments of about 14,000 health workers would be done on contract basis to deal with the problems of malnutrition. Process of recruitment would commence from February he said. Besides recruitment of women supervisors would be done to augment health care services, he said.
