Jamshedpur: An under-trial prisoner Chanu Chourasia reportedly tried to escape police custody at the Jamshedpur Civil Court on Friday.
He was later caught by two constables after a chase. He was brought to the court premises for production in a case against him.
He has been under custody for the last two and a half months. He was brought to the court of first class judicial magistrate Pawan Kumar.
Later the district judge visited the court premises to take stock of the security arrangements after the escape bid by the prisoner.
