Jamshedpur: TRF Limited conducted a skit competition in which employees from all sections of the Company participated. The contest was based on the United Nations� Environment Programme�s theme of �Raise your Voice, Not the Sea Level�.
Many more activities are planned during this month, such as door-to-door campaign in the community on environment awareness and tree plantation, organizers said.
World Environment Day which is observed on June 5 across the globe is recognized as a starting point for launching awareness programmes and activities related to environment management at work place and in daily life.
The skits were judged by a panel of judges comprising of Mukesh Prasad, Saibal Dasgupta and RB Rai, declared Team Revolution as the best team and with the best script. This team consisted of Madhulika Thakur, Wasim Akram, Bela Topno and Sunil Kumar. Priya Mahato was adjudged the best actor in the competition. The prizes were presented jointly by Sudhir Deoras, MD, TRF and RK Rahi, Gl Secretary, Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhir Deoras, MD, TRF, appreciated the skit played by all the teams. He said that the messages conveyed by the teams on water and power conservation, prevention of food wastage, re-use and recycle and pollution control must be adopted by us for a cleaner and greener earth.
Senior executives of the Company, office bearers of Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union and large number of employees witnessed the skit competition.
