Jamshedpur, August 11: The TRF Ladies Association (TRFLA) conducted the third �Navjeevan� blood donation camp in a year, on Tuesday at TRF premises.
It successfully collected 184 units of blood that was donated voluntarily by TRF employees and its associates. The camp was organized with the active support of members from Voluntary Blood Donors� Association and Blood Bank of Jamshedpur. In all the TRFLA has been successful in collecting 370 units of blood in 2015.
�Navjeevan�, the blood donation camp was formally inaugurated jointly by Sudhir Deoras, MD, TRF, Hemant Kharkar, COO, RK Rahi, General Secretary, Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union (TRFLU), and Mrs Madhuri Deoras, Chairperson, TRFLA.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Deoras lauded the commendable community development work being done by the TRFLA in the areas adjoining the TRF colony and the Company�s works.
He was happy to note that with time the Ladies Association has been successful in touching more lives by widening and diversifying its community development activities. He also appreciated that TRFLA reach through �Navjivan� blood donation camp had also increased.
RK Rahi, proudly observed that with increase in production the collection of blood units had also increased over the years. He also suggested the Company could create more awareness about eye donation and he hoped that employees would volunteer to make this initiative a success.
Mrs Deoras welcomed the donors who had come to �Navjeevan� and thanked the Voluntary Blood Donors� Association and Blood Bank of Jamshedpur for their support in making the camp a success.
