TRF blood donation drive collects 204 units

Jamshedpur, March 21: Volunteerism among TRF Limited employees saw a remarkable boost with the successful organization of the second edition of the biannual blood donation camp, ‘Navjeevan,’ on March 20. The event was organized by TRF Ladies Association (TRFLA) in collaboration with Jamshedpur Blood Centre and Voluntary Blood Donors’ Association (VBDA) at the company premises. A total of 204 units of blood were collected, a significant contribution as demand for blood typically rises during the summer months.

Employees, office bearers, and members of Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union, along with stakeholders and TRFLA members, actively participated in making the camp a success.

The event was formally inaugurated by TRF Managing Director Umesh Kumar Singh, CFO Anand Chand, CHRO Abhijeet Singh, and Kaushik Dutta, Head of Corporate Services and Communications. Also present were Tata Robins Fraser Labour Union President Rakeshwar Pandey, General Secretary Anjani Kumar, and TRFLA’s Shweta Gupta. Senior company executives, TRFLA members, and union committee members attended the inaugural function.

During the inauguration, Dr. Nirjala Jha from Jamshedpur Blood Centre emphasized the importance of blood donation, while Shweta Gupta welcomed guests and encouraged stakeholders to contribute to this noble cause. The initiative reinforced TRF’s commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
