Jamshedpur: Social organization, Mitr Healthy Humanity (MHH) conducted a tree plantation drive at Sanatanpur Village. The members planted 35 saplings of Mango, Neem, Guava, Tulsi, Banana and Blackberries in the village and entrusted local resident Anadi Das to tend to these plants.
MHH secretary Smita Kumari informed that the organization had been working for the development of Sanatanpur since the past two years. The saplings planted here are all home grown by the members as we do not make purchases from the market. We will keep on growing other useful saplings in our gardens and plant them here from time to time, she informed.
Sanatanpur is situated in the hills and the trees here do not serve the purpose of the residents here. Smita Kumari further stated that fruits and medicinal plants will be planted further in this village so that the residents could use and sell the produce.
