Jamshedpur: Rotary Club Jamshedpur West organized a tree plantation programme at the renowned Beldih Golf Course in Jamshedpur. Known for their unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, Rotary Club Jamshedpur West has pledged to plant around 30,000 trees this year. The tree plantation initiative at Beldih Golf Course is part of the club’s broader mission to enhance the city’s greenery. Jamshedpur, celebrated as the “Clean City Green City,” is witnessing a significant push towards increased green cover, with the Rotary Club leading these efforts. A teak tree was planted today, symbolizing the club’s dedication to environmental preservation.
Beldih Golf Course, chosen for its central location and frequent visits by Rotarians, serves as an ideal site for the tree plantation. The club emphasized that planting trees in such accessible areas ensures their protection and proper care. “Our goal is not just to plant trees but to ensure their growth and maintenance. By choosing Beldih Golf Course, we can regularly monitor and care for the trees, seeing them grow and thrive,” said Dr. Amit Mukherjee, President of Rotary Club Jamshedpur West.
The event was graced by several prominent members of the Rotary Club, including Dr. Amit Mukherjee (President), Dipti Singh (Secretary), Dr. Ravindra Kumar, NK Agarwal, Kamlesh Tiwari, Amitabh Bakshi, Alok Sarkar, Sujata Sachdev, Rajendra Sachdev, Anil Dhandhania, Radhika Dhandhania, Kamlendu Shukla, Alpana Shukla, Bk Wadera, S D Prasad, and MK Jha.
