Training and Briefing for BLOs Held at XLRI Jamshedpur, guidelines issued for Voting Day

Jamshedpur: In adherence to the directives of the District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, a comprehensive final training and briefing session for all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of East Singhbhum district was held at the XLRI Auditorium. The event witnessed the participation of BLOs from all six assembly constituencies within the district.

The session focused on delineating the critical roles and responsibilities of BLOs on polling day. Detailed instructions were provided to ensure the efficient and effective execution of their duties. The district administration received commendations for its exemplary performance in the distribution of voter information slips, a crucial aspect of the electoral process.

Deputy Development Commissioner  Manish Kumar addressed the BLOs, emphasizing the importance of their role in facilitating free and fair elections. He urged all officers to approach their responsibilities with utmost seriousness and dedication. Key guidelines were issued regarding the maintenance of orderly arrangements at polling stations, managing voter queues, providing necessary support to the polling teams, and ensuring elections are conducted without malpractices.

A significant focus was placed on increasing voter turnout across both rural and urban areas. BLOs were instructed to maximize their efforts in the final four days leading up to the election, engaging in extensive voter awareness campaigns. They were tasked with motivating the electorate to participate in the voting process and informing them about the facilities available at polling stations.
