Trainee SI killed in road accident near police line in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 24: A trainee Sub Inspector posted at Burmamines Police Station area of East Singhbhum district was killed in a road accident on Tuesday morning. The mishap took place near Police Line in Golumuri.�
The deceased has been identified as Avinash Kumar who hailed from Karnpura, under Sigauri�police station under Patna district. His father, Hareram Singh is also a Sub Inspector in Bihar Police at Bhagalpur. The victim was engaged and was scheduled to get married on May 4.��
According to information, the deceased the out for morning walk when three youths riding on a bike hit him and he collapsed on the road. The locals nabbed the youths and thrashed them for the mishap. They were later handed over to the police.��
Avinash was rushed to Tata Main Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
” We are investigating the incident. As per initial probe, the youths were on high speed riding a bike. It is a case of rash driving. We will act against the youths as per law,” said a police official.
