Traffic chaos near Kerala Samajam Model School Jamshedpur sparks public outrage

Jamshedpur, July 4: Daily traffic snarls near Kerala Samajam Model School in Golmuri are causing severe inconvenience to commuters and residents of nearby colonies such as Refugee Colony, Tuiladungri, NML Colony and GF Flats. The issue peaks during school opening and closing hours, with long vehicle queues blocking the road.

Local residents allege that the school management has failed to implement proper traffic control measures. A single security guard is deployed, who is unable to manage the crowd or vehicle flow effectively. Vehicles are parked haphazardly on the roadside, trapping passersby in hour-long jams.

Former BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Dinesh Kumar slammed the school for its mismanagement and warned of a public protest if corrective steps aren’t taken soon. “Schools must focus not just on revenue but also on public convenience and student safety,” he said.

Dinesh Kumar has raised the issue on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, tagging the district administration and Jamshedpur Police. Many citizens echoed similar complaints, saying the traffic mess has affected their punctuality and daily life. Kumar announced plans to meet the DSP (Traffic) and district officials soon to demand a lasting solution.
