Traditional Aashadia Puja at Kitadih Village

Jamshedpur: Aashadia Puja, the annual traditional ritual seeking divine blessings for the well-being of the village, was performed today in Kitadih under Jamshedpur block.

Mahabir Murmu, Nayake Baba and Majhi Baba of the village, led the ceremonies with deep devotion, offering prayers to Marang Buru, Gram Devta, Jaher Ayo, Mod, and Turui. The rituals were conducted with the hope of securing good monsoon rains, protection from poisonous snakes and scorpions during the farming season, and safeguarding the community from any disease or epidemic.

On this occasion, Bengal Majhi Kishun Murmu, Vikas Murmu, Bale Murmu, Bindu Soren, Gurba Hansda, Hemant Soren, Khela Soren, Kishun Soren, Rajaram Murmu, Sawan Hansda Narayan, Madhu Soren, and Jadu Murmu were among those present.

The gathering concluded with collective prayers and thanks to the deities for their continued protection and prosperity of the village.
