Traders meet SSP over missing of Bhagwandas Gupta

Jamshedpur, Jan 8: More than a week since the Mango based businessman went missing, the police are yet to trace the trader.

Seeing the agony with the family members and the traders of the city, President of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) Suresh Sonthalia met SSP Amol V Homkar on Thursday and appealed for the safe recovery of Bhagwandas Gupta.

On the ocassion Sonthalia said �the incident has left the business community in shock and more than a week has gone by and police is still clueless about the whereabouts of the missing businessman Gupta, we hope he returns home�.

�We are in state of shock. The police are not saying anything specific behind his disappearance.� The way his scooty and cell-phones were recovered we assume it might be a case of abduction for ransom, but surprisingly we have not got any call as such so far,� said a family member.

Senior Superintendent of police Amol V Homkar said that the investigation is still on and the way his mobile phone and scooty were traced we hope of recovering him soon.

A resident of Post Office Road, Gupta who has two iron ingot factories in Purulia and Dhalbhugarh and four weigh-bridges at Jamshedpur, did not return home after he had left his home by riding his scooty on Decmeber 29.�
