Jamshedpur: A delegation of Jharkhand Mazdoor Union led by former minister Dulal Bhuiyan reached the sub-commissioned office on Tuesday demanding permanent employment of Tata Steel’s registered sons and scavengers, including all natives and land sons in all Tata group companies. During this time, a demand letter was submitted to the DLC and it was sought to take initiative in this direction.
Dulal Bhuiyan said that if there is no concrete and meaningful first in the case, the bugle of Dalit revolution will be blown in Bistupur Gopal Maidan. Dalit and tribal leaders from all over the country will be invited to this. Earlier, under the banner of Jharkhand Mazdoor Union and Mukhi Samaj Kalyan Samiti, women and men reached the DLC office and raised slogans there.
Security arrangements were also made here in view of the huge crowd. Police force was also deployed along with the Vajra vehicle. In the midst of this crowd, social distancing was unnoticed. Neither did anyone put masks in the crowd nor was social distancing complied. Now it will be seen what action the district administration takes in this matter.
On the occasion, Dulal Bhuiyan said that the work of the DLC office is to do justice to the laborers, but for the last 30 years this office has been doing injustice to the Harijans and Dalits. He said that Tata Steel is getting the laborers brought in from outside and injustice is being done to the Dalits, Harijans and the original inhabitants.
