TPS DAV observes Rabindra Jayanti

Baharagora: The 158th Birth Anniversary of international poet and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore was observed at TPS DAV Public School today. A prayer session followed by floral tributes to the portrait of Kobi Guru heralded the commencement of the program.

Students and the music teacher T Chakraborty presented songs of Tagore.

The successful students of Class XII and X students were honoured amidst boisterous rounds of applause.  Second topper with 95 percent marks for the Class X exams Anant Nath shared his success story with other students present on the occasion. Class XII student Shubhranjan Dandiya dwelt on the creativity and contributions of Rabindranath. Sidhant Somnath recited a poem from the Kobi Guru�s Gitanjali Collection. Teacher Soma Bose presented a detailed observation on the philosophy and traits of the international poet. Principal Anup Kumar while paying tributes to the immortal poet advised students to follow in the footsteps of Rabindranath Tagore and imbibe his life lessons in character development.  The program was anchored by Sauvik Mahapatra and Ritika Raut.  Students and teachers of the school were present on the occasion.
