Ranchi: The additional chief secretary of the drinking water and sanitation department of the state government Sudhir Prasad today declared Torpa West panchayat of Torpa block as the first �open defecation free� panchayat of the state.
He said there were 29 villages and 23 tolas where there were toilet facility for the residents.
He congratulated the people for the success of the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan scheme run in the panchayat.
