Jamshedpur: The case of toilet fund misappropriation in the West Ghorabandha Panchayat was revealed more than a fortnight ago. It involved the mukhiya, Panchayat secretary and the Jal Sahiya.
Taking up the issue, a BJP delegation today met DDC B Maheshwari and handed him a charter of demands which included the immediate lodging of an FIR and arrest of the accused namely the Mukhiya, Panchayat Secretary and Jal Sahiya who had misappropriated the funds sanctioned for construction of toilets in the West Ghorabandha Panchayat.
The BJP delegation mentioned that the state was in a zero tolerance mode on corruption and such people indulging in the misuse of public funds should be jailed.
The DDC assured the delegation that departmental enquiry on the issue was in progress and those found guilty would be severely dealt with. He said that FIR would be lodged against those found guilty and sent to jail.
The BJP delegation included Ankit Anand, Anil Srivastav, Vimal Bhaitha and Ravi Shankar Pandey.
